Tyndale Primary School

Religion and Worldviews

Intent

At Tyndale, we believe that the principal aim of Religion and Worldviews is to engage pupils with the importance of a diverse society. Through a promotion of the virtues of  respect and empathy, our pupils can investigate significant human questioning through a variety of world views and religions. This allows them to develop the skills and understanding needed in order to appreciate and appraise the varied responses to these questions, as well as begin to foster responses for themselves. Through the curriculum, pupils will discover a range of global religions alongside humanistic beliefs. We will also promote their critical thinking as well as reflections upon similarities and differences between beliefs and practices.
